Vichy pastilles, invented in 1825, have survived the centuries thanks to their digestive properties. Highly renowned in 20th-century France and still produced today, a box of them could be found in every home or grandmother’s bag. Renamed VICHY-ETAT after the nationalization of companies during the Occupation in 1940-44, they reverted to Vichy pastilles after the war.
This box, in normal used condition, would be perfect on a shelf or in a modern kitchen.
