SOLUTRICINE lozenges have been a staple of French society for generations. Based on an antibiotic (Tyrothricin), they have been treating minor sore throats in children since 1950, stopping the onset of tonsillitis, and, above all, comforting: their pleasant lemon flavor made them almost a treat; this, perhaps more than their actual effectiveness, explains their immense success.
SOLUTRICINE lozenges, cherished by all French people, were a panacea for minor winter ailments; every mother and grandmother had a box of them in their handbag or bathroom medicine cabinet.
This model, made entirely of metal, dates from the 1960s (plastic replaced metal in later versions). It is in excellent condition and will delight collectors of rare boxes.
